Bollinger Bands plot upper and lower envelopes around a moving average at a configurable number of standard deviations. When bands contract, volatility is low; when they widen, price swings are expanding — making them a widely used tool for identifying breakout and mean-reversion opportunities.
This sample overlays Bollinger Bands on CSCO candlestick data with all three band lines styled in blue (#3C8AD8). The candlestick legend icon uses a rising-falling type, and both major and minor grid lines are enabled for precise reading. The chart includes a synchronized line scroller, a range picker, and a range selector, with the default view from December 1996 to June 1997.
See the Technical Indicators documentation for all configuration options.
