Bullet Charts are something like a smaller version of a Bar Chart where we can watch an only value being compared with the target value. These charts were created by Stephen Few. They are usually being used in dashboards and they are quite informative to be used instead of bar charts. One Bullet Chart has an only series, but we can unite plenty of charts to create the whole picture.
This example is a table containing 13 bullet charts, representing the amount of 13 vitamins in the ACME Corp. vitamin pills. The bullets show the target amount (daily intake) of each vitamin, and the bullet bars show the difference between the current value and the goal value. Background ranges and axes are disabled here, tooltips are absent as well, but you can still see the relative difference.
