Bullet Chart

Bullet Chart or Bullet Graph is a variation of the Bar Chart type, developed by Stephen Few. Generally, it is used to display progress toward a certain goal.

Bullet Graphs are designed to overcome the fundamental problems of Circular Gauges and Linear Gauges that are often cluttered with useless (and distracting) decoration while displaying too little information and requiring too much space.

Bullet Charts can be both vertical and horizontal.
