The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is a momentum-based oscillator used to identify cyclical trends and overbought or oversold conditions. Values above +100 typically indicate overbought territory, while values below -100 suggest oversold levels, making CCI valuable for timing entries and exits.
This sample displays CSCO daily OHLC data on the main plot and calculates the CCI with period 20 in a 30% height subplot. A trend channel annotation is drawn between +100 and -100 on the indicator plot, highlighted with a semi-transparent yellow fill, to clearly mark the normal trading zone. The chart includes dual Y-axes, a synchronized line scroller, a range picker, and a range selector, with the default view from November 2003 to April 2008.
