Stacked Bar Charts display the comparison of the quantitative value each part of the category brings to the whole category. Each of the stack components shows its relative contribution to the entire bar and the entity as a whole.
This stacked chart shows the information on the distribution of the revenue got from the products sold to men and women. Usually the simple multi-series bar charts are used in similar cases; basically, this one is a multi-series one too, but in conjunction with bar chart of stacked type it allows us to achieve required effect. Negative values are used in one of the series (representing men’s purchases). The tooltips of both series have custom formatting, so are the horizontal axis labels to show them as positive. The whole series is hovered and turns on/off when you hover or click on the appropriate legend item.
