The Full Stochastic Oscillator adds an extra smoothing step to the Fast Stochastic, producing a more balanced %K and %D pair. By adjusting kPeriod, kMAPeriod, and dPeriod independently, traders can fine-tune the indicator's sensitivity to filter out noise while still catching meaningful overbought and oversold signals.
This sample plots CSCO daily data as a spline series on the main plot and computes the Full Stochastic oscillator with kPeriod 14, kMAPeriod 3, and dPeriod 6 in a 30% height subplot. The %K series is drawn in red (#e24b26) and %D in green (#6e9c4e). The chart features dual Y-axes, a synchronized line scroller, a range picker, and a range selector, with the default view from December 1997 to August 2002.
