The Chaikin Oscillator (CHO) measures the momentum of the Accumulation Distribution Line by computing the difference between its fast and slow moving averages. Crossovers above or below zero signal shifts in buying or selling pressure, helping traders detect early trend changes in volume flow.
This sample plots CSCO daily OHLC data on the main plot and renders the CHO indicator with a fast period of 5, slow period of 12, and SMA smoothing type in a 30% height subplot. The chart maps open, high, low, close, and volume fields, and includes dual Y-axes on both plots, a synchronized line scroller, a range picker, and a range selector, with the default view from June 1998 to September 2002.
See the Technical Indicators documentation for all configuration options.
