Radar Charts are basically used as a comparing tool in different areas. The polygonal shape of the ordinal x-axis makes these charts unique; all ticks are coming out together from the polygon center. The y-axis is vertical and it comes out from the same point. So, Radar Charts are two-dimensional. These Charts can be used in every area where you need to compare something. The more parameters you compare, the more ticks you have on a chart.
This Chart compares three characters of the WoW game: Warrior, Shaman and Priest in five parameters (abilities): Strength, Stamina, Intellect, Agility and Spirit. These parameters are very important for a player when he makes a choice about a character which he is going to play for. So, there are three lines, each represents a character; five ticks mean five abilities. Both axes are visible; the y-axis range is the range between min and max ability levels, which is from 0 to 250. The chart title and labels of both axes are enabled. The legend item can help you to change to chart performance: click on a legend item to switch its series off/in or hover it to highlight the series. Also you can select points on lines; hold the Shift key to select several points.
