It now seems rare for a week to pass without a significant celebrity death being reported &#8211; from David Bowie in the second week of January, to actor Alan Rickman a week later, to comedian Victoria Wood and Prince this week. &#8220;Enough, 2016&#8221; and a more vulgar alternative are phrases people are uttering more and more regularly. So is this wave of celebrity deaths the new normal?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/r_luke_dubois_insightful_human_portraits_made_from_data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Insightful human portraits made from data<\/a> \u2013 Artist R. Luke DuBois makes unique portraits of presidents, cities, himself and even Britney Spears using data and personality. In this TED talk, he shares nine projects \u2014 from maps of the country built using information taken from millions of dating profiles to a gun that fires a blank every time a shooting is reported in New Orleans. His point: the way we use technology reflects on us and our culture, and we reduce others to data points at our own peril.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AnyCharts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">A New Map for America<\/a> \u2013 this data visualization by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The New York Times<\/a> shows how the lower 48 could be realigned into seven mega-regions. These days, in the thick of the American presidential primaries, it\u2019s easy to see how the 50 states continue to drive the political system. But increasingly, that\u2019s all they drive \u2014 socially and economically, America is reorganizing itself around regional infrastructure lines and metropolitan clusters that ignore state and even national borders.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/products\/anychart\/gallery\/Tree_Maps\/Starbucks_by_Country.php\" target=\"_blank\">Starbucks Distribution by Country<\/a> \u2013 In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/2016\/04\/28\/anychart-js-framework-7-10-0-released\/\" target=\"_blank\">recent update of AnyChart<\/a>, we have added <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/products\/anychart\/gallery\/Tree_Maps\/\" target=\"_blank\">TreeMap charts<\/a>, which are great for showing hierarchical data.
