Collecting and processing the latest pandemic statistics from more than twenty reliable sources, it is designed to enable convenient analysis of global and regional trends in a user-friendly interface with the help of robust data visualization.<\/p>\n<p>We <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/18\/covid-tracker-charts\/\">presented the StopCorona COVID tracker<\/a> in our blog earlier this week. Its charts are powered by the AnyChart JS library. You can check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/21\/stopcorona\/\">interview with Vadim Peskov<\/a>, CEO at Diffco, to learn more about the project and\u00a0the team&#8217;s experience using AnyChart for visualizing COVID statistics for StopCorona.<\/p>\n<h3>Social Distancing in US<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/graphics\/2020-social-distancing-coronavirus-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/lockdown-curves.png\" alt=\"Social Distancing in US\" width=\"100%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/lockdown-curves.png 1344w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/lockdown-curves-300x189.png 300w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/lockdown-curves-768x483.png 768w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/lockdown-curves-1024x645.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1344px) 100vw, 1344px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAs the U.S. states have already begun to lift restrictions, many Americans&#8217; commitment to social distancing is likely to be eroding. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/graphics\/2020-social-distancing-coronavirus-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bloomberg<\/a> visualized data from Unacast, JHU, Ballotpedia and Surgo Foundation for a closer look.<\/p>\n<p>The picture above, for example, shows an interactive chart that displays the change in average distance traveled from late February through mid-May in each state, with some key milestones including the state-specific lockdown date. While scrolling down this new story on Bloomberg, pay attention to a number of small line charts. Visualizing the percentage change in average distance traveled against daily cases per 100,000 people on a two-week lag, these nicely illustrate how social distancing worked in every state.<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Test Trends by State<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.propublica.org\/reopening-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10548\" src=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/us-trends.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Test Trends by State\" width=\"100%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/us-trends.png 920w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/us-trends-300x199.png 300w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/us-trends-768x509.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 920px) 100vw, 920px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/projects.propublica.org\/reopening-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">ProPublica<\/a> published a simple, yet informative map visualizing the trajectory of each state&#8217;s positive tests per 100,000 people over the last two weeks. It greatly shows the big picture of where across the United States the number of COVID-19 cases is growing or going down as states reopen.<\/p>\n<p>The map is interactive. To view several\u00a0key figures describing the situation in a certain state, click it. The metrics shown about each state include the number of tests and positive tests per 100,000 people and percentage of tests that are positive, as well as ICU bed availability and hospital visits for flu-like illnesses.\u00a0ProPublica says they plan\u00a0to keep\u00a0this resource up to date.<\/p>\n<h3>Berlin Trees<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.giessdenkiez.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10549\" src=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/berlin-trees.png\" alt=\"Berlin Trees\" width=\"100%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/berlin-trees.png 1136w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/berlin-trees-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/berlin-trees-768x397.png 768w, https:\/\/www.anychart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/berlin-trees-1024x529.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1136px) 100vw, 1136px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nCityLAB, a project of the Berlin Technology Foundation, made an interactive visualization designed to help establish proper watering for Berlin trees. It shows the location of every tree in the city, as well as its type, age, and water requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The map is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.giessdenkiez.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Giessdenkiez.de<\/a> platform when everyone can also commit to watering a local tree and see what trees are already being taken care of by someone else.
